IT’S NEVER TOO EARLY to teach children about the love that Jesus has for each of them. It’s our desire that each child will learn God’s Word for their lives and respond to it in love, faith, and obedience, and by reaching out to their friends. Sunday School missions include support of a child in Africa, the Deacons’ food closet, and two other missions to be selected annually.
Sunday School
Meets 40 Sundays a year (Sunday after Labor Day through mid-June). On the 40th week, Family Day is celebrated with a classroom open house, program, awards, and a church-wide picnic. Children’s Classes are:

3-4-5 Alive!
Sunday evening ministry for children in grades 3 through 5 that includes music, lessons, drama, crafts, prayer, and special events. 6 pm (mid-Sept. - mid-May)
Childrens Time
During the Contemporary Worship Service (except on communion Sundays), children are invited to the front of the sanctuary for a special message just for them.
Childrens Church
Prior to the sermon at the Contemporary Worship Service, children ages 4 through Grade 2 move to the Nurture Building for a lesson, video, activity that is different from the Sunday School hour.
SONbeam Singers
On second and third Sundays, September through May, Children’s Church is replaced by SONbeam Singers, a children’s music ministry that teaches the joy of singing to the Lord. On the third Sunday of those months, the children sing at both worship services to the glory of God.
Nursery Care
During worship services, nursery care is available for children under age 4; and, during Sunday School, for children who were not age 2 by the past August 31. Nursery and childcare are also provided for most special services (unless the children are participating) |
