A total of 173 students attended VBS at White Clay Creek July 23-27, 2007, averaging 159 per day.  Of these, 73% were from non-WCCPC families, making Vacation Bible School truly a community outreach for the Lord.  Children ages 3-1/2 through Grade 5 had the opportunity each day to grow in their understanding of what it means to serve God with courage as Joshua did as SonForce Kids – Special Agents on a Mission for God.  All the “special agents” enjoyed related crafts, recreation, music, and snacks. 

A generous mission offering of $835 was received to purchase a keyboard, express wagon, dictionaries, art supplies, and other items for an African orphan village sponsored the The Rafiki Foundation, of which White Clay Creek is a partner.  The offering was supplemented by other gifts to bring the total sent to Rafiki to $955.  The week ended with a wonderful outdoor closing program on Friday evening, with classes saying their memory verses and singing the VBS songs.  With a storm brewing, the Ice Cream Social was hastily moved indoors where nearly 15 gallons of ice cream with many delicious toppings were enjoyed.  Some of the VBS singers also praised the Lord by singing their theme song at the contemporary worship service on July 29.
